The NBN outage affecting Cairns and surrounding areas is still ongoing. Multiple fibre teams are currently working to assess the damage and restore services as soon as possible.
Due to the nature and extent of the damage to the fibre infrastructure, the ETR has now been extended to 6:00 PM AEST today, 01/09/2026. We are continuing to coordinate with the field teams and closely monitor progress. We will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Due to the nature and extent of the damage to the fibre infrastructure, the ETR has now been extended to 6:00 PM AEST today, 01/09/2026. We are continuing to coordinate with the field teams and closely monitor progress. We will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.
